Canada’s first real estate agent listing-bid platform is officially live in Toronto with an aim to transform how homeowners sell their property and connect with real estate agents.
Hyyve is looking to “flip the traditional dynamic” by giving sellers control over their listing.
Free for sellers, the platfor’s novel model enables homeowners to receive upfront cash and compare side-by-side proposals from top agents competing to earn their listing.
“Selling a home is the largest financial transaction most Canadians will ever make, yet many are doing so without the tools or trust they need to feel confident,” says Patrick Armstrong, cofounder and chief executive officer of Hyyve.
His company’s process “is unlike anything else on the market,” but “this model leads to a more efficient and measurable ROI for agents,” Armstrong informed Fintech.ca in an interview earlier this year.
Hyyve also released its “2025 Home Seller Insights Survey,” which suggests a majority of Canadians plan to sell their homes within the next two years, but many are unhappy with their real estate agents.
“This survey reveals that finding a real estate agent is still largely based on referrals, yet nearly half of those surveyed would not use the same agent again,” noted Armstrong.
Sellers can create MLS-style pre-listings with photos, videos, and property details, which can be enhanced by AI-powered virtual staging from Hyyve’s partner, AI HomeDesign.
Indeed, Hyyve streamlines the end-to-end home-selling experience by offering integrated legal, financing, renovation, inspection, moving, and insurance services through trusted partners: Ownright (legal closings), Frank Mortgage (financing), Bidmii (renovations), Carson Dunlop (inspections), MoveMate (moving), and Square One (home insurance).
Hyyve only earns a fee from the winning agent’s bid, aligning interests with sellers and agents driven by outcomes, not upfront costs.
“At Hyyve, we believe both home sellers and agents deserve a more transparent, merit-based, data and performance-driven way to connect when selling their most valuable asset,” stated Armstrong.
Initially, Hyyve is launching its platform with 500 invite-only realtors and home sellers.
